Memories...ExtraneousThis mod brings up quite a lot of memories for me. It's based on an improvisation played on organ and recorded on tape (in Gothenburg) shortly after the death of my father. I then made a mod out of it in Skövde where I studied computer sience. I remember that I felt quite lonely when tracking it in that weekend. But I like the reult very much. Eingaard This was the first time I tried some techno infuenced stuff. The result is not very close to techno, but it gave a rather cool dirty sound I think... And there is a humorous touch to this mod as well. When about 2/3 has been played of this tune, an imaginary keyboard player called "Benght" starts to play the wrong melody. (It's the lead melody from the mod "Lorie" of 1993)... The other guys in the "imaginary band" interrupts him and says (translated from Swedish): Anders: Oy! Benght! Cut that out! Benght: What is it? Anders: You stupid idiot, you are playing the wrong tune. Anders: (That you always have to wait on that nerd!) (While the bass player tunes his bass and then practises a bit, so does the others) Anders: Ok, we have to play it again.. Anders: Count in, Bosse! Bosse (the imaginary drummer): Yeah! One Two Three Four! And they start to play again... The bass player plays the wrong tone a couple of times at the very start... |
